Nigeria-based songwriter, artist, and producer Brum3h explore the complexities of modern-day dating and relationships on his latest single, “You Don’t Want Me.”
“You don’t want me is what happens when people decide that you’re too much for them, that they can’t handle all of you. This was my experience and why I wrote the song”– Brum3h states on the inspiration behind the record.
At its core, “you don’t want me” speaks to the experience of loving someone who does not love you back. Brum3h draws on his own personal experience to capture the frustration and angst caused by the uncertainty of the circumstances. He desperately tries to win over his love interest, who is aware of their chemistry and how much she enjoys it but is too scared of intimacy to fully commit.
Highlighting the universal experience of both lovers grasping for what they want but being unable to have it, leaving them both feeling frustrated and confused.
Brum3h’s unique sound and style are on full display in “you don’t want me”, with hypnotic beats and a melody that will stay with you long after the song ends. The track was produced by Brum3h and co-produced by Txmpl, adding an extra layer of depth to the overall sound.
